Image Preparation for EZCAD
Prepare the artwork outside EZCAD so image quality, dimensions and tonal structure are controlled before you tune marking parameters.
Built around real laser preparation
PixGrav focuses on the image-processing stage before production, helping you create cleaner, more controlled artwork for engraving workflows.
Cleaner source artwork
Start EZCAD with a deliberately prepared image rather than relying on last-minute adjustments.
Fiber-focused workflow
Optimize image structure before dealing with frequency, pulse, speed, power and hatch settings.
Repeatable production
Keep the source preparation consistent so parameter tests are easier to compare.
Workflow
Keep image preparation structured and repeatable before you tune the machine itself.
Why prepare the image first?
Laser speed, power, frequency, focus and material response cannot compensate for a poorly prepared source image. A controlled preprocessing stage makes testing easier because the artwork stays consistent while machine parameters change.
Frequently asked questions
Does PixGrav control the fiber laser?
No. This page describes preprocessing images before using EZCAD for laser marking.
Why prepare the image outside EZCAD?
It gives you finer control over the source image and keeps artwork processing separate from machine parameters.
Can I use this with MOPA lasers?
Yes. Image preparation is still useful, although MOPA parameter selection remains dependent on the material and desired mark.
