Convert Images to Laser-Ready SVG
Turn suitable raster artwork into scalable vector geometry for engraving, outlining and laser workflows that benefit from clean paths.
Built around real laser preparation
PixGrav focuses on the image-processing stage before production, helping you create cleaner, more controlled artwork for engraving workflows.
Scalable output
Vector files can be resized without the pixelation associated with raster images.
Cleaner laser paths
Simplified geometry can be easier to use for outlines, logos and high-contrast artwork.
Workflow flexibility
Move the exported SVG into LightBurn, EZCAD-compatible workflows or other vector-capable software.
Workflow
Keep image preparation structured and repeatable before you tune the machine itself.
Why prepare the image first?
Laser speed, power, frequency, focus and material response cannot compensate for a poorly prepared source image. A controlled preprocessing stage makes testing easier because the artwork stays consistent while machine parameters change.
Frequently asked questions
Is every photo suitable for SVG conversion?
No. Logos, line art and high-contrast graphics vectorize much better than detailed continuous-tone photographs.
What is the difference between SVG and dithered PNG?
SVG stores vector paths. A dithered PNG stores pixels. They are suited to different engraving strategies.
Can I scale the SVG later?
Yes, although very small details may still be limited by the physical laser spot size and material.
