Enhance Images for Laser Engraving

Increase useful engraving detail without overprocessing the image for normal screen viewing.

Built around real laser preparation

PixGrav focuses on the image-processing stage before production, helping you create cleaner, more controlled artwork for engraving workflows.

Engraving-focused contrast

Strengthen tonal separation where the laser needs it most.

Controlled sharpening

Improve edge definition while avoiding excessive halos and noise.

Faster preparation

Reduce repeated trial-and-error edits before moving into your laser software.

Workflow

Keep image preparation structured and repeatable before you tune the machine itself.

Why prepare the image first?

Laser speed, power, frequency, focus and material response cannot compensate for a poorly prepared source image. A controlled preprocessing stage makes testing easier because the artwork stays consistent while machine parameters change.

Frequently asked questions

Why not use a normal photo enhancer?

General photo enhancers optimize appearance on a display. Laser engraving requires tonal separation that survives conversion to the machine's marking process.

Can enhancement recover a blurred image?

It can improve clarity, but it cannot recreate detail that is completely missing from the source.

Should I enhance before dithering?

Usually yes. Tonal and detail adjustments should be completed before the final raster conversion.
